WEA Practice Reps

Low-stakes written reps. Walk a given scenario through all six WEA stages for an assigned archetype before live application.

Pick one scenario below. Walk it through all six stages — ASSESS, APPROACH, LISTEN, ENGAGE, AFFIRM, TRACK — writing one to two sentences for each stage. The goal is muscle memory, not perfection.

Scenario A — Lion

A Lion VP just lost a deal her team had been working on for three months. She's already booked back-to-back days to win the next one. The team is exhausted and quiet.

Scenario B — Elephant

An Elephant peer keeps adding scope to a project the rest of the team has been told to ship in two weeks. His changes are technically correct.

Scenario C — Lemur

A Lemur founder has pitched three new directions to the board this quarter. The execution team is starting to disengage.

Scenario D — Dolphin

A Dolphin manager has a direct report whose performance has slipped for a month. The Dolphin keeps moving the difficult conversation off the calendar.

Self-check

  • Did ASSESS include the report data, not just your impression?
  • Did APPROACH ask a question this archetype would actually answer honestly?
  • Did AFFIRM name something specific — not generic praise?
  • Did TRACK leave a concrete next checkpoint?
