Certification Requirements & Standards
Know exactly what is required to earn and maintain Zookeeper Certification.
How you earn it
Five steps. In order. No shortcuts — and you won't want any.
- 1Complete all three modules in sequence
- 2Pass Live Assessment 1 — Report Reading
- 3Pass Live Assessment 2 — Presentation Skills
- 4Pass the Final Certification Assessment (80% or higher)
- 5Submit your Zookeeper Commitment reflection

How assessments work
Not everything in this program carries the same weight — and that's intentional.
Practice checkpoints (module quizzes). Low stakes. Retake them as many times as you need. They exist to tell you where to slow down, not to catch you out.
Certification gates (live assessments + final exam). These are the real moments. The Final Certification Assessment gives you two attempts. The two live assessments can't be retaken same-day — if you need another shot, your Nivalmi facilitator will give you specific feedback and get you scheduled.
What you can do with it
Once you're certified, you're cleared to:
- Apply the Zoo framework in coaching, leadership, and team contexts
- List your certification in professional profiles and bios (exact language is in your certification packet)
- Deliver Zoo content to clients or internal teams (Individual Facilitator and Internal tracks only)
One boundary worth knowing: Zoo materials, assessments, and reports can't be reproduced, distributed, or sub-licensed without written permission from Nivalmi. Your certification is yours — it's just not transferable.
